Independent advice for strong plants
Plant Quality Solutions supports growers to grow healthy, stead crop through stess management, Brix-steering and independent biostimulant strategies.

Among tomato plants, I learned early on how to truly understand a plant. What began as fascination grew into my life’s work: decoding the language of plants. As a Dr. Ir. in plant health, with more than 35 years of experience in virology, nematology, plant physiology and countless crops worldwide, I’ve learned to look beyond symptoms alone.
I see how growers do their best every day within the boundaries of existing systems — yet those standards no longer fit the challenges of today and tomorrow. My drive is to change that reality by bringing together knowledge, simplicity and sustainability.
My approach is holistic and purposeful: I read the plant, investigate what’s really happening — brix, nutrients, pathology — and help build resilient, healthy crops using the simplest means possible. For this I use the existing practises as a starting point to see where the largest impacts can be made.
Beyond that I have a contagious curiosity on biology of plants in their environment and love to teach others on these topics. And I have guided multiple, internationally based companies through certification systems for good plant health such as Elite for ornamentals and soft fruits and GSPP for tomatoes.
Missiom
We build resilient crops in healthy production systems – with less input and more insight.
After 35 years of working with plants, I know they don’t ned gueasswork, they need someone who listens. I measrue Birx, nutrients and pathology befor giving any advice. And when I don’t know the answer, I connect the grower with someone who does. The goal is never a sale – the goal is understanding. By sharing data openly, growers learn to read their own crops. Knowlegde builds trust; trust builds resilience.
“I don’t guess what a plant needs – I ask, measure, investigate, and let the results guide us.”
Vision
My role combines science and plant forensics: bringing clarity where others get stuck. My method follows a clear path:
- Signal — noticing early changes.
- Investigate — measuring, testing, diagnosing.
- Intervention — targeted, sustainable action.
- Outcome — tracking and adjusting.
- Future — preventing recurrence trhough training, hygiene and plant quality management.
By visualisin Brix, nutrient and pathology data, plant health becomes understandable and teachable.
“Every plant tells a story. My role is to listen, measrue and strenghten.”
My work is value-driven:
I share my findings openly. Trust builds trust; trust sustains ecosystems. Where possible, I choose solutions that protect plant, soil and environment. For me, this is more than work.
It is care in action.
Plant health is more than numbers – it is life, colour and resilience. Turning plant logic into practical outcomes.
